Mad at the universe
I was going to write a quick post about how utterly disappointed I am that the current owner of the dog has now decided that she's going to keep him after all, but Julie's news put that firmly into perspective. My heart is just breaking for her.

But...Are they possibly looking for some money for the pup? I've run into the "last minute change of heart" in rescue a time or two. Generally, it's all about money.

I woke up with tears in my eyes thinking about Julie this morning. Life is just so unfair.
Regarding the pup, I don't think they were trolling for cash, but who knows. The story was that she brought the dog to her boyfriend's house (where I was supposed to pick him up from) and his father fell in love with the dog and wants to keep it. It seemed like a legit enough story, though it was pretty heartbreaking for me. I emailed her back saying we were disappointed, but understanding of the circumstances and to let us know if it didn't work out. I must admit that I'm really bummed about this!
